Don't look back.
The idea for making these wearable denim-art-jackets arose october 2015. One evening, riding home, after hearing a couple of sad songs on the radio,
I had this image in my head of a girl, walking away. And while you become painfully aware that this moment will never come back, she suddenly looks over her shoulder.
Is it for one last time? To capture this image, to hold on to this, maybe moment of hope, I wanted to make this collection.
Once I started, the images, poems and symbols came easy. The world is filled with symbolism of holding on, capturing the moment and still always having to let go.
With the famous lines of Romeo and Julliet, writen by Shakspeare, came the mext ambition.
Would it be possible to make, a moment so sad, into a thing of beauty? Like Shakespeare has his Romeo say:" Parting is such sweet sorrow."
That's why the jackets are beautiful, with glitters, embroidery and pearls.
Every jacket is unique, there is only one. And they all have their own story.
What were the songs I heard on my way home?
